The project is a collaboration between Qatar University and Brunel University London, and is funded by QNRF. The workshop was held on 7th of October and was inaugurated by Dr. Julia Gonella, the Director of Museum of Islamic Art, and Dr. Munir Tag, Senior Program Manager &#8211; ICT at QNRF.<br \/>\n<span style=\"margin: 0px;color: #333333;font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif;font-size: 12pt\"><!--more--><\/span>The workshop highlighted the importance of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Technologies to effectively preserve the cultural heritage, as a history transfer medium, and increase the engagement of people in the sector. The event consisted of two discussion panels and a demonstration session. <a href=\"http:\/\/qufaculty.qu.edu.qa\/a-alali\/\">Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Ali<\/a> chaired a Panel on the \u201cPreservation and Exploitation of Digitized Museum Objects\u201d and <a href=\"http:\/\/qufaculty.qu.edu.qa\/s_alali\/\">Dr. Somaya Al-Maadeed<\/a> participated in a Panel focusing on the \u201cAnalysis, Restoration, and Collection Management of Historical Manuscripts\u201d.
