Direct Three-phase Systems_FG4

By changing the single-phase supply to three-phase supply, the direct three-phase system with the full rated power was achieved. The block diagram of the system is shown below

Results:

In the direct three-phase systems, the input current in the open-loop operation is severely distorted, similar to the single-phase open-loop operation. On the contrary, the closed-loop operation results in a slight improvement in the input current in both CCM and DCM operations but still not meeting the standards. This is because the single MOSFET switch of the Boost converter is not capable of unfolding three line-currents of the three-phase supply. As a solution for that, a separate converter is designed for each phase to provide three MOSFET switches, a switch for each phase, utilizing the concept of modularity.
