Car Parking and Street

This part will show how the demanded power for the car parking and the streets inside the building is obtained. The only load required for the car parking and the streets is the lighting. So, there will be two parts in this section which are lighting for the parking and the lighting for the streets.

Sport Activity Building

In this building, the calculation will be divided into four main parts: utilities, handball court, volleyball court and basketball court. Since each court has its own standards for lighting and AC, the calculations for each one will be separate. Where the total area of sport activity building as appendix A.2 shows is 17,163 m2 which 184,743 ft2 . Also, the areas of each part in building is shown in table 3-1.

Basketball Court

As can be noticed in block diagram above figure 3-1, the first step of calculating the demanded power for lighting loads is to obtain the areas. According FIBA standards the total area for the basketball court is 934m2. As can be seen in observed in appendix A.3. There different areas include to the court which are playing area, safety area around the playing ground, safety area for photographers and team benches area. The table 3-4 shows the different areas inside the court.

Volleyball Court

In the beginning, the main load that are required for the volleyball arena are lighting, air-condition and general load. With a total area equal to 2152m2. And according to FIVB standard the area of the pitch is 408m2 as can be noticed in appendix A.5. As can be seen in the below table 3-5, the different area in volleyball court.

Handball Court

The loads required for the handball court are the lighting for the arena, changing rooms, and spectator’s area. In addition to that, the air conditioning for the same areas mentioned in the lighting, and finally, the general load which represents the power of sockets used in the whole court.

Football Stadium

For the football stadium the loads required are the lighting for the field itself, changing rooms, spectator’s area, and bathrooms. In addition to that air conditioning for changing rooms and bathrooms, and finally, general load for the whole stadium.
