To conclude this project, Bottle filling industry is and will still be one of the largest industries worldwide, as the local and international demand will frankly not be affected despite the global circumstances as seen currently with the spread of Covid-19 pandemic.
Despite the fact of not being able to complete the project fully, software implementation for the Siemens S7 1200 PLC was fully concluded to achieve the full bottle filling cycle, with the use of photoelectric sensors to track down the bottle’s location in order to verify which phase of the production is it at. The level sensor was used to monitor the level of liquid inside the tank, which feeds the solenoid valve from which it gets activated by the PLC to release liquid to the bottle in order to get filled. An additional bottle capping device was introduced to the project to fully demonstrate the process of bottle filling production, yet it was not implemented practically due to the current circumstances.
Future work for this project mainly includes the remaining practical implementation of the project and overall testing of the system functionality in relation to the software implementation.
In addition to the above, we hereby pledge to complete the successful practical implementation of the project whenever it is possible for students to return back to campus, and to ensure the full functionality of the PLC software code with the hardware selected, in order to fully yield the benefits of our design, moreover to improve it wherever the chance is possible.
